# Overview tab: spend and usage

> See what your organization spends on AI through AI Gateway: daily usage and estimated cost for the last 31 days, by model, team and person.

The **Overview** tab is where you see what your organization spends on AI: how
much, on which models, and by whom.

## Where to find it

In OpenWork Cloud, open **AI Gateway**. **Overview** is the first tab.

Seeing it needs the **View Gateway providers** and **View Gateway usage**
permissions. Organization owners and admins have them by default.

Until you [add a provider](https://openworklabs.com/docs/ai-gateway/overview.md#set-it-up), the tab shows **No
usage yet**, with **Add provider** and **Or subscribe to OpenWork Models**.
Usage shows up after the first request.

## Usage

The **Usage** chart covers the **Last 31 days**, by UTC calendar day. The total
at the top covers all Gateway providers, including
[OpenWork Models](https://openworklabs.com/docs/ai-gateway/openwork-models.md).

Change what the chart shows:

* **Show**: **Tokens** or **Cost**.
* **Group By**: **Model**, **Team**, or **Person**.
* **Filter**: pick only some models, teams, or people. Click **Clear filters**
  to see everything again.

When you group by team, each person counts toward every team they're in, so
team totals can be higher than the model or person totals. People in no team
aren't shown in the team view.

## Who spends it

**Who spends it** lists the people with the most spend in the last 31 days and
their share of the total. Click a person to open their page on
[Users & Teams](https://openworklabs.com/docs/ai-gateway/users-and-teams.md#open-a-person), with what they can
use, their limit, and the models they use.

## Models people use

**Models people use** lists the models with the most spend in the last 31 days
and each one's share.

## How accurate are the numbers?

* **Tokens** come from what each provider reports. See
[Counting usage](https://openworklabs.com/docs/ai-gateway/counting-usage.md), including requests that report
  no tokens.
* **Cost** is an estimate from public model prices when each request was made,
or the cost a provider reports. It isn't your provider's bill. **Unknown**
means OpenWork has no price for that model. See
  [Token costs](https://openworklabs.com/docs/ai-gateway/token-costs.md).

## Keep spend in check

* Set daily, weekly, or monthly [limits](https://openworklabs.com/docs/ai-gateway/limits.md) for everyone, a
  team, or a person.
* See each person's and team's limit and spend on
  [Users & Teams](https://openworklabs.com/docs/ai-gateway/users-and-teams.md).
