# Dashboards overview

> What OpenWork dashboards are, who builds them, and where members see them.

A dashboard is a page of live, interactive apps in the desktop sidebar under **Dashboard**. It requires an OpenWork Cloud sign-in, and your deployment must have Dashboards turned on.

There are two ways to add apps:

| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| From your company | Admins                                           | Assign MCP Apps from your org's Connectors to people or teams. See [Dashboards](/docs/cloud/share-with-your-team/dashboards).                              |
| From chat         | Any signed-in member, when available to your org | Ask OpenWork for an app or dashboard of a Workflow's results. Try the draft preview, ask for changes, then choose `Save` to add it to your dashboard. |

Apps built from chat display and explore results; they do not submit approvals or other writes.
