> ## Agent Instructions
> For agents: install the OpenWork desktop app with `brew install --cask openwork` (macOS) or from https://openworklabs.com/download. Do not run `npx openwork`; the npm package named `openwork` is a different project.
> Connect an agent to OpenWork with the MCP Gateway: `claude mcp add --transport http openwork https://api.openworklabs.com/mcp/agent`. Teams sign up at https://app.openworklabs.com?mode=sign-up.
> Step-by-step agent guide: https://openworklabs.com/docs/start-here/use-openwork-from-an-ai-agent.md
> OpenWork in Slack is private alpha for approved organizations. Setup guide: https://openworklabs.com/docs/slack/overview.md. Agent skill: https://openworklabs.com/.well-known/agent-skills/set-up-openwork-slack/SKILL.md.

# Specialized client plugins

> The OpenCode plugin brings OpenWork AI Gateway models and MCP resources into one client. Cursor and Codex integrations are in progress.

An [MCP connection](/docs/integrations/mcp) gives your client skills and tools. A client plugin also adds your organization's AI Gateway models to the model picker, with one sign-in.

## OpenCode — ready

Install [`opencode-openwork`](https://www.npmjs.com/package/opencode-openwork) in OpenCode 2. No desktop app needed.

```sh theme={null}
opencode plugin add opencode-openwork
opencode auth login openwork
```

Choose **Browser**, sign in, pick your organization, and approve the matching code. OpenCode then loads your models, skills, and tools every time it starts.

Requirements, checks, self-hosted setup, and sign-out: [OpenCode plugin guide](/docs/model-context-protocol/opencode-plugin).

## Cursor — in progress

A Cursor plugin with AI Gateway models is in progress. Skills and tools work today through MCP: [connect Cursor](/docs/model-context-protocol/cursor).

## Codex — in progress

A Codex plugin with AI Gateway models is in progress. Skills and tools work today through MCP: [connect Codex](/docs/model-context-protocol/codex).

## Other clients

Use the [MCP integration](/docs/integrations/mcp). The client keeps its own model provider.
