A connector is an app your organization’s AI can use, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Notion, Linear, or GitHub. You add it once in OpenWork Cloud, choose how people sign in and who can use it, and it shows up in their Library. Members don’t install anything. This page is the short version. For every step and setting, see Sharing MCP connections with your team.

Where to find it

In OpenWork Cloud, open Manage › Connectors. The list shows what needs attention first, then what’s connected. Adding connectors and changing who can use them needs the Manage connections permission. Organization owners and admins have it by default. Members can still add some apps for themselves in My Library.

Add a connector

1

Pick an app

Click Add connector (or Add once you have some) and pick an app from the list. For an app that isn’t listed, paste its MCP address.
2

Let OpenWork check it

OpenWork makes sure it can reach the app, knows how you sign in, can sign in, and can see what the AI can do. Finish any check that asks for something, like a key or a sign-in.
3

Choose how people connect

Under How people connect, choose one of the options below.
4

Choose who can use it

Under Who can use it, turn on Everyone in the organization, or add people and teams. At first, only you can use it.
5

Add it

Click Add followed by the app’s name. People you chose find it in their Library.

How people connect

Apps that use sign-in offer the first two; apps that use API keys offer the last two. Some apps need no sign-in at all. With Each person signs in or Each person adds a key, each member connects their own account once. See Connect your own account.

Who can use it

Open the connector from Manage › Connectors. Under Who can use it:
  • Turn on Everyone in the organization, or
  • Add people and teams.
Changes apply right away, on every device. Removing someone’s access, or removing the connector, takes it away from their AI immediately.

Google Workspace and Microsoft 365

Both are in the Add a connector list:
  • Google Workspace: Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Sheets and Chat. It uses your organization’s own Google Cloud OAuth client. See Google Workspace.
  • Microsoft 365: Outlook, Calendar, OneDrive and Teams. An admin registers an app in Microsoft Entra once. See Connect Microsoft 365.
In both cases, each member then signs in with their own work account.

Where connectors show up

  • OpenWork desktop app: in Settings › Library, under the Connectors filter. People who need to sign in see Sign in.
  • OpenWork Cloud: in My Library and on Your Connections.
  • Claude, Cursor, and other MCP apps: open the connector, expand Use in another app and click Turn on. People who can use it then copy its address and add it to their app, signing in with OpenWork. Your access rules still apply. See Use a connector in other AI apps.
Then people just ask their AI for something the app can do. It uses the connector with their account.

Keep connectors healthy

On a connector’s page, the ⋯ menu has:
  • Edit settings: change its name, address, sign-in, or key.
  • Test tools: try its tools before members use them. See Test tools.
  • Sign everyone out: each person signs in again. Its setup and who can use it stay the same.
  • Remove: nobody can use it anymore.
