Connect VS Code

Give VS Code your organization’s OpenWork skills, plugins, and connections.

Add the server

Install in VS Code in one click, or run:

code --add-mcp '{"name":"openwork","type":"http","url":"https://api.openworklabs.com/mcp/agent"}'

Run MCP: List Servers > openwork > Start Server, sign in to OpenWork, and pick your organization.

Try it

Ask: “Which OpenWork organization am I connected to?”

Manual config

Run MCP: Open User Configuration, or edit .vscode/mcp.json for one workspace:

Switch organizations

Remove the stored openwork token, start the server again, and pick another organization.
